GREATER MULWOOD HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION
DIRECTOR MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 2, 2016

PRESENT:  Officers:  Ed Albrecht, Jennifer Bercy, Joy Gelb, And Karmen Brower.
Directors:  Emma Wilby, Richard Cassel, Lucy Martin, Jack Hendershot, Stephen Holzer, Keith Zajic, Richard Woolard.  Excused:  Aaron Scott, Rita Gever, and Brett Gever.
Honored Guests:  David Tepper, Ana Liper

  1. Meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM with self-introductions.
  2. Agenda approval was moved by Lucy Martin, seconded by Emma Wilby, and approved unanimously. Minutes’ approval was moved by Lucy Martin, seconded by Richard Cassel, and approved unanimously.
  3. Officer Reports
    1. Ed Albrecht reported he and Council member Fred Gaines met with L.A. City Council member Blumenfield on improving the median on Mulholland Drive south to Mulholland Highway. Some of the trees have already been trimmed.  The City of LA is considering putting in a reclaimed water line in the area.
      There are several methods to increase membership being investigated.
    2. Vice President – no report
    3. Treasurer Joy Gelb reported bank balances, and that we have 17 paid memberships. Lucy Martin moved and Emma Wilby seconded acceptance of the report.  It was accepted unanimously.
    4. Secretary – no report.
  4. City Council Report – none, but Lucy Martin reported the park and ride will have 71 parking spaces, 3 handicapped, and 3 electric charging stations. It’ll be finished by mid-September 2016.
    Senior Center opening will be Saturday, June 7th.
    Concerts on the lake begin Sunday, June 26
  5. No Realtor report – absent.
  6. New Business – Richard Cassel is concerned the speed limit along the new stretch of Mulholland Highway is too fast at 45 mph. He wants the council to consider lowering it.
  7. Old Business
    1. Bench is to be put in shortly per Fred Gaines.
    2. Advertising Policy
      1. Postcards could be used to invoice for dues.
      2. Newsletters should have advertisers to cover the costs. All material should have e-mails and website addresses.
      3. Welcome committee should be set up.
      4. Richard Cassel will work with city on getting flood plain mapping changed.
      5. Trash cans are being put out early on Eddingham, and not taken in promptly.
      6. The city should get a letter telling we’re pleased with the Highway improvements.
